Day 17

Still catching up here...bare with me =]. With the cold weather, you tend to spend lots of time inside...at least, we have! And therefore, I end up drinking lots of coffee. How the 2 go together, I'm not sure but it seems to be the case. Maybe because I drink to get warm? Hmmm....? Aaliyah prefers a little hot chocolate with marshmellows to warm her up. I was boiling some water one night for tea and hot chocolate and thought that the coffee mugs looked cool in the light, hanging there. I'm still learning to use light and how to manipulate it but thought this came out cool with a warm, bold vibe....like coffee!

Day 16

NEXT! Aaliyah and I go to the library every few weeks. She gets a boor or 2 for herself usually. She loves the library which is awesome cause so do I! While looking for a book for miss Aaliyah, I found a book about twins. So I brought it home to read to Hailey and Zoey. It has to be the CUTEST book EVER! Although, these twins are boy/girl and ours twins are identical girls, the whole thing holds true! They really seem to enjoy it too. All 3 of my girls love to read books! Anyways, the twin book had such cute sayings and I just couldn't help but snap a picture. It's called "Twin to Twin".

Day 15

Alright, so the next couple posts will be me catching up on this as usual. Please, forgive me. I take a picture for this every day but never manage to go the whole way to posting on each day. Well, I get to buy some new toys for my camera! YAY! I'm hoping to eventually make what I spend back as I plan on kind of getting out there some come the better weather! I got asked if I wanted to put an ad in the bridal section of a big, local magazine...BUTTERFLIES IN MY BELLY!! But, it'll be an awesome way to get my name out there too so we'll see. As for now, this is still just a fun hobby for me and I just like to capture everything happening around me in this CRAZY life of mine. This is one of the 2 squirrels living in our backyard. I would love to be a squirrel. As silly as this sounds, they provide me with some entertainment, especially while doing laundry. They play and fight and get into my trash 0_o. Overall, I like em! Aaliyah and I probably are the reason animals flock to our yard.  We threw out some bread for the birds but it was Mr. Squirrel who thanked us the most.

Day 14

Of course, trying to catch up as usual. I was out the other day and I've been wanting to take this picture for a long time every time I pass it. Lots of trains around here. It can be no fun but I actually think trains and tracks make pretty pictures. I just love this!

Day 13

I'm sorry to those of you (mostly my Nana) who are expecting pictures every day. I really stink at this! I've taken a picture every day for the most part but the girls don't cooperate too much anymore. I play around in spurts hoping to get a few mins at a time. They've really become a comical little clan. I find myself pulling the twins off one another all the time lately...it's a mess! BUT they do play well a lot of the time too. Here's the stinks just hanging out hehehe

and I'm sorry, I've been in a photography funk lately. Just waitin for weather to change so we can actually spend some time outside again!

Day 12

So today is the big game! Chicago vs. Packers. And the bear's lost!!!! BOOO! Oh well! Aaliyah loves football and she's hilarious when she yells at the tv! We were so looking forward to another Superbowl but Lovie Smith has got to get the boot if we wanna see that game ever again. Anyways, hoping that it warms up some so I can talk Aaliyah on a walk soon. I'm itching to get out and take some pictures!

Day 11

This should have been posted on Friday but I'm a busy woman. It was Grandma's birthday and Aaliyah & I baked her a cake. We also took her out to eat too which was a good time. Thank God Fuddruckers wasn't too busy cause these girls were runnin the place. They behaved really well though. I feel super lucky my girls are polite and so good. At least when we're out in public, right? Hehehe...well...ENJOY!

Day 10

Alright. Caught up! This post is from today POSTING TODAY! Playing around with some random things in the house. I LOVE natural light when shooting and there's nothing like the sun's light around 3pm! It just cast a nice, warm glow on things. See for yourself! These were edited with Lightroom 3 on my new laptop!

Day 9

This one's funny. I walked into the bathroom today and was asked "What in the world could there possibly be for you to take a picture of in the BATHROOM?". Well, we have these butterfly suncatchers in the window and it looked so pretty with the sun light. Then, this old picture of what I think is Billy and his brother as children...I wanted to see what it looked like in b&w. I'm kinda playing catch up on here so I'm kinda just taking random shots! Enjoy!

Day 8

Wow, I'm way behind! This is not as easy as it may seem. My girls are able to run on such little sleep, it amazes me. BUT when they crash, the crash hard. Zoey zonked out before I could get dinner on the table. Of course, a perfect opportunity to snap a picture! She was quite the cranky child when I had to wake her up!

Day 7

Two posts in one day. Oh well! Trying to mess with posing Aaliyah. It's still interesting to get her to pose and hold still! But, bribary always works! I think I need to go prop shopping and find some cool things for her to pose with. Anywas, kisses from us!

Day 6

I don't know if I am alone but I cannot wait until the warm weather comes back! I love how pretty snow and ice and winter can be but I'm just not a fan of COLD. Aaliyah enjoys it all very much. She really loves the icicles hanging from our house. She says they're swords. Oh Lord, help me! She is a lot of fun out in the snow though. I think I might have to break down and go make an igloo with her one day.

Day 5

This one's a quickie but it features my girlies, Hailey and Zoey! They were wondering what I was doing. Trying to take a picture for my 365, of course! Second one is of Aaliyah holding the snow globe. Last one is just pretty to me!

btw, I hate our lighting! Can't wait to get some new toys, including my flash!

Day 4

Got this idea from another photog in a forum. Hers was a bit better than mine! Just about ready to get my "love" on for Valentines day. I drew some hearts on Aaliyah's feet...and she giggled and wiggled telling me "it tickles!". She enjoyed doing this project though so maybe I will get her more involved daily with this. Showin some footsie love

Day 3

Alright, I'm cheating. I've been a bit under the weather today and stuck in bed. So, for this post, I'm using a picture of Aaliyah from yesterday. Just one word to describe it: STUNNING. Edited in CS5.

Day 2

Out in the snow again. It's so cold! I love how nature looks covered in snow! It's a balance of death (dead leaves that never fell and branches still clinging on to them) and beauty. There's a hole in this tree that stands in our front yard. Aaliyah likes to fill it with rocks. Along with some leaves and twigs, a little snow has gathered there. It just looks so naturally beautiful. Again, this is unedited and SOOC

Day One: Start of my Project 365

This has been a long time coming. I kept thinking about starting a 365 Project but never did. Well, today is the DAY! So, for my first post, I took my oldest out into the freshly fallen (and still falling) snow to snap some pictures. I must say, she is like a little snow angel. She always looks so perfect in it. As she's getting older, the more she poses for me. Most of them are silly but what can I expect from a silly little 3 yr old? Day 1 is my daughter Aaliyah in the snow.

I usually edit my pictures but this is straight from my camera. I love her big blue eyes and her red little nose. Isn't she a doll?
